As a dog rescue organization, it is STARS (Save The Animals Rescue Society) mission to first, attend to the health and well-being of our animals, and second, to find loving, caring forever homes for them.  To this end, we maintain a shelter facility for the care and evaluation of each incoming abandoned dog, and use foster homes, like Legacy Ranch, to further evaluate, socialize, and prepare the dogs for placement and assimilation into a family home. 

This takes varying amounts of time, depending on each animal's circumstances.  During this period, we count on your donations of time, money and supplies.  If you are able to help, please view our assist page for further information.

Most of all, we desire good homes for our dogs.  If you are planning to add a dog to your family, please think adoption first.  We have many dogs, but too few homes to love and care for them.
